Overview
Flowmodoro is a flexible time management technique that helps you maximize your productivity by staying in a creative state of mind. Unlike the Pomodoro Technique, the Flowtime Technique counts up instead of counting down when you are focusing.
How It Works
It lets you work for x minutes and then take a break for x/5 minutes, giving you the flexibility to match your natural rhythm while still keeping a healthy work-break balance. FlowTime uses flexible cycles: you work until your focus drops, then take a break that is roughly 20% of the time you just worked.
Benefits
- Maximizes deep focus without arbitrary interruptions
- Studies show it takes around 15 minutes to enter deep work, and stopping too soon can disrupt your momentum
- Allows you to stay in the zone for as long as your concentration lasts
- Particularly useful for tasks requiring deep concentration like coding, writing, and creative work
Pricing
Free methodology - can be implemented with any timer or time tracking tool.
